Special guests at the Atlantic Bar in Freetown, Sierra Leone were treated to an unusual sight on July 30th: the production of fresh drinking water from sea water using a mobile unit.
The event, hosted by Nirosoft and Serenitech, was attended by high ranking government officials. Nirosoft's VP Sales, Eitan Dery, was on hand to demonstrate the company's mobile seawater desalination unit, which produces 1,250 liters of fresh drinking water per hour.
"There is a major problem with the provision of potable water in Freetown," explains Dery. "The country faces a major challenge with the supply of high quality water which is safe for human consumption. Nirosoft offers advanced systems which deliver a continuous supply of safe potable water."
"Our mobile SWRO unit offers a temporary solution until a permanent solution can be implemented," he concludes.
