Avigdor Liberman, Israel’s Foreign Minister, visited the Episkopi desalination plant during a three-day visit to Cyprus from April 16 to 18.  During his visit, the Minister met with Cypriot President Demetris Christofias, Foreign Minister Dr. Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Neoklis Sylikiotis to discuss advancing the establishment of a regional assistance force to deal with emergency situations. Liberman visited the plant on the last day of his visit, accompanied by Mekorot’s Chairman, Alex Wiznitzer. Mekorot’s project manager, Meir Hever, showed the minister around the site.
