NIROSOFT supplied for Tsunami hit Maldive Islands
10 mobile RO seawater desalination units
The units were purchased by UNICEF and were manufactured by NIROSOFT INDUSTRIES in a record time of two weeks. Each compact system is designed to supply 1250 liters per hour (30 m3/day) of pure drinking water from seawater, and include all necessary equipment, from pump for seawater supply, through UF and RO treatments to safety chlorination. The units are fully independant and include deisel powered generator. Five of the units are trailer mounted, and five are designed to be installed on barge.
NIROSOFT staff commissioned the systems and instructed local and aid personnel about operation and maintenance activities.
Currently, all 10 units are working and supplying safe drinking water to isolated islands and villages that were severely hit by Tsunami.
